History

AGB Human Resources (AGB HR) became a Registered Training Organisation in 2007. Since then, the organisation has been actively training throughout Australia, in such areas as Transport and Logistics, Community Services, Business, Hospitality, Training and Education, specialist courses and more.

In early 2009, the organisation established its first E-Learning course, to facilitate individuals, who are unable to attend training for various reasons. The organisation wanted to establish a diverse, flexible approach, so that just because someone was unable to attend a course, it would not disadvantage them from achieving their educational goals. It also allowed an individual to gain a qualification in their own time, when they had the available time and in the comfort of their own home.

In April 2009, the organisation opened the doors to its second site at 23 Albert Street, Moolap, which was names “The Transport and Logistics Training Centre”, TLTC for short. The organisation was moving towards being able to provide specialist logistical related courses from certificates to Diplomas and to specific licenses such as trucks and forklifts. The organisation wanted to move towards building a facility, where practical training could be provided in a safe working environment, for people who are looking to either enter the Transport and Logistics Industry or people who are looking to up-skill in the industry.

In mid October 2009, the organisation established a partnership with Community Veracity and SecondBite, to provide training that was both theory and practical based in the warehousing industry, as well as providing a valuable service to the local community. Through the assistance and support by both Community Veracity and SecondBite, the organisation, is provided with Fresh produce, which in turn is checked for quality and redistributed to local community Agencies, which in turn provide the food to families, who cannot otherwise afford to buy food.

Within the first 6 months 20 tonnes of food was distributed to local families in the Geelong Region and the organisation, through the assistance of Community Veracity and SecondBite, will continue to grow the program to distribute more food, over more days, and assist more agencies. The learners, who participate in the training program, assist the local community through their training course.

In 2010, the Organisations Community Services department grew rapidly, because the organisation met a need in the community, to provide competent quality workers in areas such substance abuse, mental health and counselling. Many students have gone onto working as either volunteer, part-time and full time staff in the region.

In 2010, the organisation became accredited by Vic Roads, to provide heavy vehicle licensing as well as accredited by worksafe, to provide license such as forklifts, order pickers and elevated work platforms.

Moving forward in 2011, the organisation aim is offer more courses, increase access to more online courses for individuals, develop more innovative solutions, provide more practical opportunities, rather than just theory based training only and be a one stop shop for corporate clients.

AGB Human Resources is proud of its strong commitment to the local community, quality of training, the flexibility it provides to the learners and having a strong working relationship with training providers both locally and nationally.
